My Next Season (the Next 12 Weeks)*:
What things are you excited about pursuing professionally? There are three things that I'm excited about in the next season. First, I will continue expanding Life Rebranded and my blog. I love the idea of finding time to write everyday. I have so many ideas, strategies and stories to explore. Second, I'm excited to establish myself on social media, as it's one of the things I've avoided for years. The various platforms, algorithms and negative aspects of social media have always turned me off. However, as a content creator, I need to embrace the impact I can have by carving out a positive space for myself on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. And lastly, I'm about excited getting certified as a life coach. This is a business I can take online and can help people establish accountability practices to reach their goals.
How might you shift your mindset to accommodate this new lifestyle? A mindset shift is about changing the conversation you have with yourself about yourself. I will continue addressing my negative self-talk and believe that I can create the life I want.
What are your health and wellness goals for this new stage of life? I plan to keep using the strategies that worked for me in 2023. I will stay in therapy, spend time in nature and keep my mind and body in motion. I will also continue to avoid ultra processed foods as often as possible and eating to pacify anything other than my true hunger.
What are your financial goals for the next season? In this upcoming season I will buy less and save more. As someone who wants to travel the world with one suitcase, I don't need to open my Amazon app everytime I think about something that I want.
Will you downsize, upgrade or change any part of your current living situation? Absolutely! I will continue purging and explore ways to sell second-hand items online. I'd love to eventually have so few things, that I could rent my home as an Airbnb when I'm living in Denmark or Argentina for a few months.
What things will you do that give you a sense of purpose? I will find new ways to volunteer my time, meet new people and have an impact. I'm a recovering anti-social recluse. It's time to be in the world.
What will bring you the most joy in this next season? It's as simple as continuing to engage in the activities that make me happy. I expect challenges and things that try to steal my joy, but I will face them with heart, knowing that they too shall pass.
* I recently learned about a technique that plans for 12 weeks instead of the entire year. You can find more information about it in this Book or this summary of the book on YouTube.
I can't believe I started this blog just 4 months ago. I've shared my joy, heartache, aspirations and experiences with you in 20 blog postings, and subsequently had over 157 new viewers with a total of over 3000 views. That blows my mind! I'm thankful for the stories that have fueled these pages and the readers who made this launch a success!
Please continue to share my posts with loved ones who are seeking change and want to join the mindset revolution we are kicking off in 2024!
I love Robin Sharma's words. I've spent the last three decades of my life, living the same year over and over again. Sure, I've had some successes here and there--a new job, a promotion or I lost a few pounds--but I would always fall back into the same slump: chronic dissatisfaction.
This is partly because I wasn't being true to the genuine desires of my heart. Some people are passionate about property management as a career--but not me. I also suffered from a chronic state of dissatisfaction because I didn't know how to live happy. My mindset was stuck on stuck.
As usual, I'm going to be vulnerable and my authentic self in this post. A friend recently sent me a list of questions designed by one of our favorite marketing influencers, Chalene Johnson. Her email was all about planning for your dream life. As soon as I read the questions, I was excited about answering them.
She wrote 29 questions (you can access the link below). I have customized and answered 7 of her questions in this post. This is part of my planning for the next season of my life, and you are here to witness it, in its infancy. Everything I do in 2024 will move me in the direction of my dream life. If you want more from your life, I encourage you to ponder some of her questions so you can begin the work.
My Dream Life:
Days filled with family, friends, writing and content creation. I make a living doing the things I was created to do. My commute is walking to my laptop or plopping it in my lap while laying in bed. I have ample income, a cozy nest egg, and the days when I worried about money are a distant memory. Armed with just my MacBook and a suitcase, I am modern-day digital nomad, gallivanting across the globe, choosing destinations like a kid in a candy store. I blog, write books, and accept speaking engagements whenever the mood strikes.
These are just a few of the things I plan to maintain or implement in 2024, 12 weeks at a time. I will live a year very different from previous years.
